High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A man charged with attempted murder was arrested again while out on bail.The 25-year-old is facing charges in connection to a shooting at a bowling alley in Forest Glade in 2022.Just after 1 a.m. Sunday, Windsor police were called to a car crash on Slater Street. Officers discovered the car had driven through a fence before colliding with a parked vehicle.Police say they detected a strong smell of alcohol and other signs of impairment. They later discovered the vehicle involved was stolen.The driver, who was out on bail, was arrested and charged with theft, possession of stolen property, impaired operation, and failure to comply with a release order.None of the charges have been proven in court.
