OPP seek suspect in two Tecumseh robberies

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are looking for someone who robbed two businesses within a few hours of each other.

Both incidents took place in Tecumseh.

The first was shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Shawnee Road.

The second was at around 2 a.m. Monday in the area of Manning Road and Highway 401.

In both cases, a man armed with a knife and wearing a black mask that fully covered his face entered the business, threatened the employee, and fled with cash and cigarettes.

No one was hurt in either incident.

The suspect was described as a White male, six feet tall, approximately 200 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, grey vest, blue jeans with embroidered rear pockets, and black sneakers with white soles.

The investigation is ongoing, and the OPP believe there is no threat to public safety.
