High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A 16-year-old is facing charges after a stabbing on Monday night.Windsor police were called to a home on Tecumseh Road near Jefferson Boulevard around 10 p.m. Officers found a woman with multiple stab wounds.Officers say the suspect went to the home to confront a 15-year-old girl over a previous issue. The argument turned into a physical altercation, and the suspect stabbed the girl's mom several times. The 15-year-old was also stabbed in the shoulder.Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.The suspect was arrested the next day and charged with aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon, and failure to comply with a Youth Criminal Justice Act sentence.The charges have not been proven in court.
