Teen arrested after stabbing

A 16-year-old is facing charges after a stabbing on Monday night.

Windsor police were called to a home on Tecumseh Road near Jefferson Boulevard around 10 p.m. Officers found a woman with multiple stab wounds.

Officers say the suspect went to the home to confront a 15-year-old girl over a previous issue. The argument turned into a physical altercation, and the suspect stabbed the girl's mom several times. The 15-year-old was also stabbed in the shoulder.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was arrested the next day and charged with aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon, and failure to comply with a Youth Criminal Justice Act sentence.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
