LaSalle council honours first responders who saved a woman's life

When a woman experienced a medical crisis on April 7, emergency services responded. It was their acts that saved the LaSalle resident's life.

The Town of LaSalle celebrated their work at town council's meeting earlier this week by awarding them the Act of Heroism Award.

The award is for those who display outstanding service, leadership or professionalism during an emergency or critical incident.

Two LaSalle Police officers, Constable Bear and Constable Bedard, received the award, while three others, Sergeant Pare, Constable Hanna, and Constable Assef, received the Mayor's Commendation Award.

Members of the LaSalle Fire Service and Essex-Windsor EMS were also recognized.
