High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Windsor Police have continued an investigation into a fire in the Ford City area early Thursday morning.Firefighters responded to the fire at a mixed-use building on Drouillard Road between Reginald Street and Seminole Street at around 2 a.m.No one suffered injuries in the fire, but it caused $100,000 in damages.In an update. Windsor Fire and Rescue reported that the fire was in the commercial portion of the building, and the cause was incendiary.Police ask anyone living in the area to check their dash cam and security camera footage for evidence.The arson unit's number is 519-255-6700 ext. 4330.
