Plasma drive set for Saturday in memory of Windsor woman

The family of a Windsor woman is turning to the community to continue a routine that was close to her.

A plasma drive is scheduled for Saturday at the Canadian Blood Services' (CBS) donation centre across from Devonshire Mall.

The drive is in memory of Lynn Morgan, a frequent plasma donor who passed away suddenly on February 21 at age 63.

"For Lynn Morgan from Windsor, donating plasma every two weeks with her husband Dean was a meaningful way she could help others and give back to her community," read a media release from the CBS. "Every time Lynn donated, patients in Windsor and across the country were saved by her generosity and commitment. And Lynn always walked away from donating with a deep sense of purpose and pride."

Lynn's widower Dean and their three adult children have set up Saturday's plasma drive and are calling upon residents to donate.

The donation event runs on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To book an appointment, visit the CBS' website, use the GiveBlood app, or call 1-888-2-DONATE (236-6283).
