A senior was struck and killed by a train on Lauzon Parkway Tuesday afternoon.
The 71-year-old woman was hit around 4 p.m. while trying to cross at the tracks between Catherine Street and Lauzon Line.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have not disclosed her identity.
The area was closed to traffic for several hours while investigators processed the scene.
