Windsor man charged after robberies in Tecumseh

The Ontario Provincial Police has arrested a Windsor man in connection to two robberies in Tecumseh last month.

The first was on May 4 when a man armed with a knife walked into a store just after 11:30 p.m. and demanded cash and cigarettes. He fled with some money.

The man was wearing a black mask, and the store was on Tecumseh Road near Shawnee Road.

The second robbery was just a few hours later, at 2 a.m. A man with a knife and wearing a black mask entered a store on Manning Road. Once again, the suspect demanded cash and cigarettes and fled with the money and five packs of cigarettes.

Nobody was hurt in either incident.

A 37-year-old man was arrested last Friday and charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of disguise with intent.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
