Another successful Strawberry Fest

The Town of LaSalle is celebrating another successful Strawberry Festival after hosting nearly 29,000 people last weekend.

The festival was held at the Vollmer Complex over four days from June 5 to 8. Guests enjoyed 5,453 servings of strawberries and ice cream - a festival staple.

“The collaboration across departments and with our community partners continues to impress me,” said Patti Funaro, Director of Culture and Recreation. “Hosting nearly 29,000 people is no small feat, and the dedication behind the scenes is what makes it all possible. Every year, we raise the bar.”

Each year, over 100 volunteers gather before the festival to clean and hull the strawberries to be served.

"The Strawberry Festival brings our community together in a way that’s truly special,” said Mayor Crystal Meloche. “It’s a celebration of LaSalle’s spirit, and I’m proud of how it continues to grow and evolve while staying rooted in tradition.”

This is the 37th year the town has hosted the festival. It's been hosted at the Vollmer Complex for five years.
