Suspect wanted in string of west Windsor retail thefts

Windsor police are hoping someone can help identify a man suspected of repeated shoplifting at a west-end business.

Members of the Retail Theft Unit report that the man visited the business on Patricia Road, near the University of Windsor, in both April and June of this year, stealing approximately $1,000 worth of merchandise.

Police say on each occasion, he took items off shelves and left the store without making any effort to pay.

Investigators say the same suspect is linked to a similar theft at that business in March 2024.

The suspect is described as a White male, between 40 and 50 years old, with a heavy build and a grey beard. He is wanted on three counts of theft under $5,000.

The Retail Theft Unit has released surveillance images of the suspect. If you recognize him or can provide more information, give Windsor police a call at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4000. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
