High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A disturbing social media trend may have made its way to LaSalle.The LaSalle Police Service reported multiple break-and-enter and mischief incidents between June 13 and June 14.In all cases, the suspects kicked in the front door of the home and then fled. All of the incidents happened in the area of Ramblewood Drive between 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m.Police believe the incidents may be part of a TikTok challenge.The Windsor Police Service reported similar incidents in the Forest Glade area in October 2024.LaSalle Police are asking anyone with video surveillance of the incidents or that has been a victim to contact Constable Pavia at <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="mailto:apavia@lasallepolice.ca">apavia@lasallepolice.ca</a>.
