Amherstburg to unveil new pickleball courts Saturday

One of Canada's fastest-growing pastimes has made its way to an Amherstburg venue.

The Town of Amherstburg celebrates the grand opening of its new pickleball complex on Saturday morning at the Libro Centre.

"We’re excited to invite the community to enjoy this new facility," said Mayor Michael Prue. "With pickleball’s popularity on the rise, these courts represent our dedication to providing quality recreational spaces that support active living and bring people together."

Eight new courts will be shown off with an opening ceremony, followed by a chance to watch a professional demonstration.

The new complex is a collaborative effort between the Town and the Amherstburg Pickleball Association.
