Tahini's opening a new location in Windsor

One of four new Tahini's locations in Canada will be in Windsor.

The Mediterranean fusion restaurant chain plans to open shop on Tecumseh Road East near Princess Avenue at the end of June.

It's the chain's first location in the city and is owned and operated by two Windsor residents.

"We've lived in Windsor for eight years and have deep roots in the city," said Ashfaq Malik. "My wife and I are passionate about people and community, and we're excited to bring the Tahini's experience to our neighbours."

The location in the city will offer favourites like the Crispy Spice Shawarma, Jamaican Jerk Shawarma, and Korean BBQ Shawarma.

The chain has 60 locations in Canada and plans to open 40 more by the end of the year. The other three new locations are in Thunder Bay, Vancouver and Surrey B.C.
