Warrants issued for three people connected to shoplifting ring

Windsor police have issued warrants for three men suspected in a series of retail theft incidents.

In May, police issued a public appeal for two men connected to alleged shoplifting at two pharmacies and a clothing store, with about $11,000 in merchandise stolen.

Police have since identified three people connected to those thefts. They are also wanted in other jurisdictions for similar crimes and may be part of a large organized crime ring operating across Canada.

Remus Constantin, 27, is described as a White male, 5’ 9”, and 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Florin Rostas, 46, is described as a White male, 5’ 10”, and 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Also being sought is 33-year-old Constantine Voicu.

Warrants have been issued for all three, who are charged with participating in a criminal organization and theft under $5,000.

Constantin and Rostas are also charged with theft over $5,000.

Anyone with information on any of their whereabouts should call the Windsor police's Retail Theft Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4000. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS) to be eligible for a cash reward.
