UPDATE: Man charged following serious assault in Tecumseh

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a man in connection with an incident that left one person injured.

It happened on Sunday between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Arlington Boulevard. Police say the victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A 56-year-old Windsor man has been charged with aggravated assault.

The suspect has been released from police custody and will have a chance to respond to the charge in a Windsor court on August 5.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
