Restaurant disturbance leads to charges

A man is facing drug and weapon-related charges after a disturbance at a restaurant on Monday.

Windsor police report they were called to a restaurant on Wyandotte Street East near Ouellette Avenue just after 1 p.m.

Witnesses reported that a man was armed and challenging others to fight.

Officers arrived on the scene and arrested the suspect without incident. There were no injuries reported.

During the arrest, police seized a pair of brass knuckles, 31.6 grams of fentanyl, 30 hydromorphone tablets, and over $5,100 in cash.

A 45-year-old man was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and failure to comply with a release order.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
