UPDATE: HWY. 401 reopens after three-vehicle crash

The westbound lanes of Highway 401 are now open between Puce Road and County Road 46.

Essex County OPP was called to a three-vehicle crash between Puce Road and County Road 46 in Tecumseh just before 11 a.m.

Two of the drivers involved were taken to the hospital, one with serious injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries. The third driver involved was uninjured.

Ornge Air Ambulance was on the scene but was not used for transport.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
