Driver facing charges after three-vehicle collision

A 22-year-old driver is facing charges after the crash that closed Hwy. 401 for several hours Friday.

The three-vehicle collision happened just before 11 a.m. between Puce Road and County Road 46.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported two of the drivers were taken to the hospital to be treated while the third driver was uninjured.

Ornge Air Ambulance attended the scene but was not used for transport.

After an investigation, a 22-year-old Brampton resident was charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm.

The westbound lanes of Hwy. 401 were closed for nearly five hours Friday for the clean-up and investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
