Tecumseh woman accused of driving with three times the legal blood alcohol limit

A traffic stop in LaSalle has resulted in the arrest of a Tecumseh woman who is accused of having a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit.

A patrol officer conducted the stop at around 9 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Laurier Drive and Malden Road.

Following a brief investigation, the 42-year-old driver from Maidstone was arrested. Once tested at the station, she registered a blood-alcohol level of over three times the legal limit.

She is charged with driving while impaired and driving with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood.

The charges have not been proven in court. She will have a chance to respond to them at a later date.

The woman's driver's licence was suspended for 90 days, and her vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
