Green bin delivery starts July 21

Residents in Windsor-Essex will have new green bins delivered to their homes in the coming weeks.

The bins will be delivered to 120,000 single-family homes in Essex, Lakeshore, LaSalle, Tecumseh, and Windsor between July 21 and early October.

The starter green bin kit includes a 120-litre green bin for collection as well as a 7-litre kitchen catcher, a how-to guide and a sample Glad compostable bag.

Collection of green waste will begin the week of October 21, 2025.

The green collection program will be expanded to Amherstburg, Kingsville and Leamington in 2026.
