Windsor fire officials say someone was seriously burned in a house fire on Thursday.
Windsor Fire and Rescue crews were called at around 3:30 p.m. to Dougall Avenue near Pine Street. A fire had broken out in the home's kitchen.
One person was rushed to hospital with second and third-degree burns on less than 15 per cent of their body.
Three dogs were also found in the home. They are safe.
The damage is estimated at $80,000. There was no word on what caused the fire.
The national weather agency said when air pollution levels are high, people should limit time spent outdoors and consider rescheduling outdoor activities and sports events.
The health unit said it happened at around 6:45 p.m. Monday outside of Star Variety near the corner of Confederation Street and Lansdowne Avenue in Sarnia.
On Sunday, July 13, at 12:23 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Lambton EMS, and Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department responded to the blaze on Zone Street.
Sarnia police and Lambton OPP stopped 19 commercial vehicles, and issued 22 charges, during a joint traffic safety initiative July 10.
