Two early candidates sign up for LaSalle byelection

As LaSalle prepares for a byelection to replace councillor Sue Desjarlais, two candidates have already come forward.

The nomination period for the byelection only opened last Wednesday.

Mike Seguin and Chris Matis have both signed up to be candidates in the vote on October 20 to replace Desjarlais, who died earlier this year.

The nomination period for candidates closes on September 5, and a list of the official candidates will be available on September 8.

The town is offering ten days of advance voting starting on October 10.

LaSalle Town Council voted in favour of holding the vote in May.
