Suspects sought after Windsor vehicle fire

Windsor police are hoping someone can help them identify any suspects in connection with an overnight vehicle fire.

Officers responded at around 2 a.m. Tuesday to a vehicle fire on Roseland Drive West off McTavish Avenue. They found a silver sports car fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene, quickly putting out the blaze.

The vehicle was a total loss, though no one was injured.

Residents in the area are asked to check any security camera footage from Tuesday between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., and give police a call if they see anything unusual.

Anyone with information should call Windsor police's Arson Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4330. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
