Man charged with touching teen at Windsor park

A 75-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly approaching teenage girls in a park and inappropriately touching one of them.

At around 9 p.m. on Monday, Windsor police responded to a sexual assault call at Reaume Park. They learned that a man came up to two 15-year-old girls, engaged them in conversation, then groped one of them.

A suspect was quickly found nearby and arrested without incident.

Hermiz Hermiz is charged with sexual assault. The charge has not been proven in court.

"The Windsor Police Service encourages parents and guardians to speak with their children about staying alert, being aware of their surroundings, and exercising caution when interacting with strangers," read a tweet from Windsor police. "Public awareness and prompt reporting play a vital role in keeping our community safe."

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
