Unifor Local 444 has a tentative collective agreement for workers at NextStar Energy, Windsor's new electric vehicle battery plant.

The union said the deal marks a "significant milestone and sets the bar in securing strong representation and protections for workers in the emerging electrified sector."

A ratification vote is on Sunday at the Ciociaro Club in Oldcastle. The doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the meeting starts at 10 a.m.

"All eligible NextStar Energy employees are encouraged to attend. Voting will be conducted using employee badge identification," said a release.
