Four arrested in Leamington drug bust

Four people in Leamington face drug and weapons-related charges after a search warrant was carried out on Erie Street South.

The Ontario Provincial Police Essex County Community Street Crime Unit, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, the OPP K9 Unit, and Leamington OPP uniformed members carried it out last Friday.

They seized cocaine, methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a prohibited weapon, and ammunition.

A 43-year-old woman is charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and careless storage of a firearm, weapon or prohibited device.

A 47-year-old man faces similar charges, along with a 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old who also faces three counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
