Front Road construction delayed

Front Road in LaSalle will be construction free for another two weeks.

The storm sewer reconstruction project has been delayed because necessary materials have not arrived.

The project was expected to start this week in the area of Adams Lane.

The reconstruction area includes the section of Front Road from Reaume Road to Boismier Avenue.

Throughout the project, traffic lanes will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes with turning restrictions in place.

The project includes installing underground storm water pipes, storm chambers, maintenance holes, and catch basins. In 2026, work is expected to begin on a new pump station at Craig Park on Adams Lane.

Major traffic delays on Front Road are now expected to begin closer to mid-August.
