Windsor kicks off concert series at City Hall Square

The City of Windsor is launching an outdoor concert series at its new City Hall Square on Friday with local singer-songwriter Ron Leary.

The city is hosting concerts every Friday night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., every Friday, weather permitting, until October 31st.

The public is invited to bring a lawn chair and check out local musical acts.

The city is also looking for musical artists to perform.

There are some rules. First, individual performers must be based in Windsor-Essex, duo acts must include at least one local artist, and groups must be at least 50 per cent local. Performers are also expected to use material suitable for an all-ages crowd.

Artists chosen to perform will receive an honorarium for their two-hour set.

Enbridge Fueling Futures sponsored the concert series.
