Counsellor charged after patients sexually assaulted

A local mental health and addictions counsellor faces charges after two patients were sexually assaulted.

Windsor Police have charged a 66-year-old man with four counts of sexual assault. The charges have not been proven in court.

The victims say they were assaulted while receiving counselling for addictions and anger management last year and earlier this year.

Police believe more victims are out there. They ask anyone who was sexually assaulted under similar circumstances to call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830. All reports will be treated with sensitivity and confidentiality.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
