Suspect wanted in violent Windsor robbery

Windsor police have asked the public for help in identifying a suspect connected to an armed robbery.

Officers were called on the night of July 13 to the area of Dufferin Place and Elliott Street East for a report of a robbery with a weapon.

Police learned that someone was walking along Dufferin Place when they were confronted by a man who stepped out of a passing vehicle with a firearm.

The suspect demanded the victim's side bag, which contained about $450, then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a White male, wearing no shirt and a health mask.

The vehicle is believed to be a black, four-door Chevrolet SUV. Investigators have obtained a partial Ontario license plate containing the letters CCZR.

Police have released surveillance camera video of a vehicle resembling the one described.

Anyone in the neighbourhood with a doorbell or dashcam system is asked to check any footage from Saturday, July 13, between 10 p.m. and midnight, and contact police if they find anything unusual.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
