Another candidate joins the race for Ward 2

Another person has announced his intentions to run in the Ward 2 by-election.

Brian Green, who has lived in the ward for nearly 20 years, has decided to throw his name in the ring along with Nick Amlin.

“I’m running for city council because Ward 2 deserves leadership focused on safer streets, better infrastructure, fair taxes, and transparent decision-making,” said Green. “No excuses. Just results.”

Candidates have until September 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. to file papers to run in the by-election.

The seat became vacant after Fabio Costante resigned from the role to take up the post of Executive Director at Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation.

Residents of Ward 2 will vote on October 27, 2025.
