Alcohol blamed for crash in Kingsville

The Ontario Provincial Police has laid charges after a single-vehicle crash in Kingsville on Thursday.

Shortly after 7 p.m., officers responded to the collision on County Road 8.

Police arrested a 35-year-old Tecumseh woman and charged her with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs and operation of a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration over the legal limit of 80 mgs.

The woman won't be driving for three months after police suspended her license and impounded her vehicle for a week. She'll also appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on August 12.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
