Suspended driver caught trying to switch seats with passenger

An Ontario Provincial Police officer got suspicious after pulling over a vehicle in Tecumseh when he spotted the driver allegedly trying to change seats with a passenger.

The officer soon found out why. The driver is suspended from driving.

The vehicle was pulled over on Hwy. 3 just before 9 a.m. on Sunday, after it was clocked travelling at 118 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

A 28-year-old Windsor man is now charged with two counts of operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, failure to comply with a release order, speeding, and driving under suspension.

The vehicle was impounded for 45 days, and the accused has an appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on September 30.
