One person charged in Walkerville sexual assault

An Ottawa man was arrested in a sexual assault in Walkerville.

The Windsor Police Service said just after 2 a.m. Friday, officers were called to a home at the intersection of Chilver Road and Assumption Street.

A man allegedly entered the home through an unlocked door and inappropriately touched a female who was asleep.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.

When police arrived to the home the suspect was still in the bedroom.

Police said the victim and suspect were not known to each other.

The 57-year-old man was charged with sexual assault and unlawfully in a dwelling house.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
