Windsor police look for arson suspect

Windsor police are looking for a suspect after multiple fires were set along a railroad track this week.

Around 6 a.m., officers were called to a fire in progress in the area of South Pacific Avenue and Parent Avenue. They found two separate blazes along the railway.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services quickly extinguished the flames.

There were no physical injuries reported.

The Windsor Police Arson Unit obtained surveillance footage of the suspect. He is described as a white man around 30 years old. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black t-shirt, red shorts, a red hat and a white towel over his head.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
