Windsor police search for suspect in theft and fraud investigation

Windsor police are looking for a man who allegedly stole several credit cards and went on a shopping spree.

Police report that a man entered the locker room of public swimming pool at the Toldo Lancer Centre at around 4 p.m. Thursday. Cash and several credit cards were stolen from a person's locker during that time.

After the credit cards were stolen, they were used to make over $6,800 in purchases at local retail stores.

The suspect is wanted for theft under $5,000 and fraud over $5,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
