Warrant issued for man connected to racist, homophobic graffiti

Windsor police have issued an arrest warrant for someone suspected of drawing hate-motivated graffiti.

Officers responded to Ottawa Street on Sunday, August 10, after graffiti was discovered on numerous electrical boxes and trash cans. They included messages and slurs targeting racial and LGBTQ+ communities.

During an investigation, the Major Crimes Unit identified a 38-year-old as the suspect.

He is wanted on two counts of public incitement of hatred and one count of mischief under $5,000.

He is described as a White male, 6’ 3”, with a heavy build, long brown hair, and a full beard.
