Essex man goes perfect with Encore to win $1-million

A perfect Encore ticket led to a massive payout for a Harrow man.

Mark Keltika paid an extra dollar to activate the Encore feature on his Lotto 6/49 ticket from the June 14 draw. He matched all seven digits to win the top prize of $1-million.

The electrician and father of four recently collected his prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

"It was the morning of Father’s Day when I checked my ticket at the breakfast table, and boom, I couldn’t believe it," said Keltika. "The most I’d ever won before was $50. My wife was making breakfast behind me at the time, and she was in disbelief as well."

Keltika plans to use the winnings to pay off his mortgage, get his finances in order, travel, and prepare for retirement. The OLG did not disclose where Keltika purchased his winning ticket.
