More people are putting their properties on the market, but home sales fell by over seven per cent in August compared to a year ago.
The Windsor Essex County Association of Realtors says market activity rose 13.32 per cent in August, as 1,157 properties were listed compared to 1,021 in August 2024.
The number of homes that sold last month fell 7.13 per cent. Realtors closed the deal on 430 homes in August compared to 463 last August.
So far this year, home sales are down 3.24 per cent.
Meanwhile, the average price of a home in Windsor and Essex County fell 3.91 per cent to $565,785. A year ago, it was $588,824.
