High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Windsor police have arrested a 29-year-old man following a sexual assault on the weekend.Officers were called to a home on Harrison Avenue near Girardot Street on Sunday for a report of a sexual assault. Police were then told that the victim and the suspect had connected on social media and agreed to meet in person.The suspect is said to have driven the victim to the home, then allegedly sexually assaulted her and prevented her from leaving.The suspect turned himself in at Windsor police headquarters on Tuesday afternoon.He is charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement.The charges have not been proven in court.
