Howard/Division improvements expected to wrap up soon

There's light at the end of the tunnel for construction-wearing drivers. The Howard Avenue and Division Road project is expected to wrap up this week.

The City of Windsor stated that Howard and Division will continue to have lane restrictions between the E.C. Row Expressway and the Union Square Plaza intersection until Friday, after which all lanes will reopen.

As part of the project, the city installed new storm sewers and watermains; it now needs to finish restoring the concrete along the curbs and median.

In addition to the Howard and Division work, Sydney Avenue, between Howard Avenue and Marentette Road, will remain closed until the end of the month. The road is being reconstructed and widened, with the city also installing new traffic lights, a sidewalk, a multi-use trail, and a new railway crossing.

That project started in April.
