Police seek 'reckless' motorcyclist spotted on Riverside Drive East

Windsor Police are looking for the driver of an electric motorcycle who fled from officers last Friday.

Around 3 p.m., officers spotted the motorcycle going more than 30 km/h over the speed limit on Riverside Drive East at Belleview Avenue. The speed limit is 50 km/h.

The officers tried to stop the motorcycle, but the driver sped away, recklessly weaving in and out of traffic, and even going up on the sidewalks.

Police say the driver is wanted for several Highway Traffic Act offences, including careless driving, failing to stop for police, speeding, and operating a motor vehicle with no licence plate.

Police say the driver was wearing all black clothing, a black and white helmet, and a pink backpack. They're also looking for a black, dirt bike-style electric motorcycle.

Anyone with information can call the Windsor Police Service Traffic Enforcement Unit at 519-945-9645 ext. 223, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or go to www.catchcrooks.com.
