Tecumseh approves sewer project essential for future development

Tecumseh Town Councillors have approved a new trunk storm sewer along Sylvestre Drive and Desro Drive.

About $3.5-million of the $3.98-million cost will come from the town's Road Lifecycle Reserve and Storm Sewer Lifecycle Reserve. The town has applied for provincial and federal grants to cover the rest of the cost.

The project is part of a larger stormwater management system, the East Townline Drain, needed to service future development on Manning Road.

Dillon Consulting Ltd. will provide the engineering and consulting services for the project.

Construction could start in early 2026 with the reconstruction of Sylvestre Drive and Desro Drive.
