Murder charges laid in case of missing man

Windsor police have charged two people in connection with the murder of David Pavao.

Pavao was first reported missing in August and his remains have not been recovered.

Windsor police believe the 37-year-old was killed on or around August 14.

Police conducted multiple searches in connection to the investigation including the area around Tecumseh Road West near Jannette Avenue and near Grand Marais Road West and Huron Church Road. They also searched the area of Albuna Townline and Mersea Road 11 in Kingsville.

Police reported Pavao was last seen in the early morning hours of August 14 the area of Brock Street in West Windsor.

This week, investigators arrested two suspects at a home on Felix Avenue.

Shane Ladouceur, 54, was charged with first-degree murder.

Marie Christine Hannah, 49, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and indecent interference with a deceased body.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
