Driver charged with impaired operation in Kingsville

A Windsor woman has been charged following a traffic stop in Kingsville on Thanksgiving evening.

In response to a traffic complaint, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) patrol officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 3 east of County Road 23 shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Monday,

The 54-year-old driver has been charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood alcohol concentration.

The driver's vehicle has been impounded for 90 days, and their licence has been suspended for seven days.

The charges have not been proven in court. The driver will have a chance to respond to the counts in a Windsor court on October 28.
