Applications for this year's uptake of Windsor firefighters open

If you're considering a career in the public service, the City of Windsor is looking for firefighters.

It'll accept applications no later than 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29.

Minimum requirements include being at least 18, being legally entitled to work in Canada, and having a high school diploma or the equivalent. Applicants must also have a D license or higher, and have a current Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Certificate.

The online application is on the city's Firefighter Recruitment General Information page.

Those who don't have access to a computer at home can use the computers at public library branches across the city.

Those who don' thave a valid email address can compete their application at 400 City Hall Square East, Suite 408.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
