LaSalle man charged in Friday arson

A man is facing multiple charges following a fire in LaSalle on Friday.

LaSalle firefighters and police officers responded to the fire at a house on Riverview Avenue.

The home had been unoccupied since a fire in February, and it had been hit four times during 2025.

Following the recovery of evidence from the previous fires, a 38-year-old man was identified as a suspect.

The LaSalle resident is charged with three counts of arson and one count of break-and-enter.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The suspect was held for a bail hearing and was later released by the court with restrictions.
