Donated van brings opportunities to Sharing A Purpose

A charity organization that hosts workshops for people with exceptionalities in the community has a better way to transport participants thanks to two local organizations.

This August, Toldo Foundation and the Soltz Family Foundation donated a 10-seat handicap accessible van to Sharing a Purpose.

"Before we had this vehicle myself and another staff member were just using our own cars and we were only able to take a couple of participants out to volunteer opportunities or even to special events or trips out in the community and we would have to keep some behind that maybe had more physical barriers," said CEO Gabrielle Saroli. "Now that we have this vehicle we can fit up to 10 people in this van and people who are in wheelchairs can now join us. It's brought so much more opportunity to be able to go to different events.

Sharing a Purpose first opened in 2021. It's located on Jefferson Avenue in Windsor.
