Teen charged in assault on a senior

Windsor Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with assault causing bodily harm after an unprovoked attack on a senior.

Officers were called to Olive Road near Tecumseh Road East on Tuesday to assist someone who was injured.

When they arrived, they found a 67-year-old man with a head wound.

The man said he was walking when a teen on a scooter kicked him from behind, causing him to fall and hit his head.

Paramedics took the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was found just a few blocks up Tecumseh Road East and arrested.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
