OPP lay charges in drug trafficking investigation

A Lakeshore resident is facing drug trafficking charges after an investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.

As part of the investigation, a home in Stoney Point, a home in St. Joachim, and two vehicles were searched.

Officers seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, amphetamine, fentanyl, cash and various drug-related paraphernalia. A taser and pepper spray were also seized.

A 29-year-old was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
